[Spring Festival] My thoughts on spring festival.

Meant to get this posted earlier but real life intervened.

I keep notes on feedback and things I'd like to see changed next year for the various events. I didn't see a thread for general feedback on the spring festival so I'm posting it here.

Travel to events:

I would really like travel between the major events like there is with the Farmer's Faire. There could be horses at the hedge maze to take you to the Greenfields for bullroarer's challenge, another at the hedge maze to take you to the Strew stomp in Duillond and then horses at both of those locations that take you back to the hedge maze.

Also, it would be nice if the map to the spring festival (the one from the quest that takes you to the hedge maze) could be bartered for at the Spring Rewards Vendors similar to the maps for the treasure hunt and the Yule festival.

Either of those two things would make me far more likely to travel to all the locations.

Concerning flowers:

This quest, in my opinion, is too long. I'd be way more interested in doing this event if it was shorter and required fewer flowers for the various rewards.

Hedge maze:

Really glad to see the maze layout changed this year and I hope you continue to do new layouts each year. Not sure I like how very open it is this year but I really liked getting lost in the maze again while I learned the new layout.

The rewards from the various quests seem uneven. Not sure why the "The Chicken Dash" and "A Fool's Errand" only give one leaf while all the other repeatable quests give two.

At some point in the past I know run buffs where disabled inside the maze. I’m not sure when that was removed but as it stands now Hunters and Wardens have a big advantage in the maze, particularly when chasing those pesky tweens. Please disable speed buffs inside the maze.

Also, if you could slow the tweens down slightly so that chasing them isn't as pointless that would make their quest less frustrating (at least when I’m not on my hunter or warden, who have no trouble catching them). 10-15% slower should be good.

Bullroarer's challenge:

Yay for new runs! I gave them a shot and failed quite a few times. :) I WANT to try more but it's a long ride out to Brockenborings (see Travel to events).

Shrew Stomp:

The drop rate for the shrew tomes seems way low, particularly for the tome of the plain shrew. With it being a common quality item I would expect to see it quite often but I've gotten only 1 plain shrew tome despite spending more time on it then on the flower gathering where I've gotten 10 tomes for the spotted shrew (admittedly 7 of those came from a single one hour of the quest, I was incredibly lucky). Addendum: My final count for tomes was over 20 spotted shrew tomes, 1 plain shrew tome and 2 large shrew tomes, so the plain shrews are definitely too rare to be listed as “common” rarity.

As far as the mechanics of this event go: Please disable speed buffs in the garden while a stomp is in progress. Having the run buffs active gives an unfair advantage to some classes.

Additionally a player’s chances for success in the quest for the enormous shrew are greatly affected by their computer. I remember doing this last year on my old computer and often the shrew would be dead before I could see it. I’ve got a new computer this year and have seen the shrew and at least started heading to it EVERY time before it dies and more than half the time I hit it and complete the quest. I’m not sure what could be done to level the playing field for those on lower end machines.
