I find this message very frustrating.
Most recently, I was just pulling items out of the AH. I had a handful of things that did not sell, so click, click, click, and then I have to wait. And not just a few seconds either.
This is ridiculous. I am told some silly story about spammers some time ago slowing the servers down, and this frustrating work around was installed.
Surely, the AH is not a spammer? I mean, seriously...
But I see this message when sending items to my alts. I see this message when selling items to a vendor. I see this message when trying to combine relic bits.
And sometimes, the time I need to wait to be able to pull an item is quite considerable, several minutes.
Pretty much any time I have to do some sort of repetitive clicking action. Note, I have NO INTEREST in doing rapid repeated clicking, I would much rather click once and be done, but that is not an option in the UI.
I know there has to be a more elegant solution, one that does not frustrate your players. Please, please find one.
