LOTRO is too easy

Hi I am a returning player and what I've noticed immediately that game is super easy now. At first I thought my new class (guardian) is overpowered but then I played with my previous toons and result was the same - game is no longer challenging aka fun. Now all crafting and quest rewards lost meaning cos you can breeze through the world with subpar gear and meet no challenges. I even bought Stone of the Tortoise (never had to buy one before) to make game a bit more fun but it didn't solve the problem :(

So why is game so easy to the point that it is not fun? I have played many MMORPGs before but none had this problem...
