New Player

Hello all,

Downloaded the game last night and played a Champion to level 11. I have to say I really enjoyed myself and I am a long time LOTR/Tolkien fan (books and movies). So I purchased VIP after I was done playing last night and I am looking forward to logging on tonight and continuing on.

I am a longtime player of WoW, and have played Rift, Star Wars: KotOR, and Guild Wars 2.

I am impressed with the scale and scope of the world. It is very alive and vibrant and I know it only will get bigger as I play. I don't have any of the expansions yet and I imagine there is a cost involved with acquiring them? I also really liked the game play and the crafting.

On the downside I was surprised to see that all building indoors are instanced and there are long pauses when opening bags and talking to NPC's. The Game occasionally jumps and pauses but this could be my graphics are set too high. The combat is a bit sluggish but not too bad.

I am going to give this game a real chance and continue leveling my toon. Also looking forward to some raids.
