Ok, so read on the forums that lower levelled players are going to be able to run with 95's in a 95 instance, and they'll have an upscaled version of armour, stats, etc. So, in short ANY level 10 can join, and be a 95. BAD IDEA. BAD. First off, they don't have the skill knowledge that a 95 would have. secondly, they haven't really earned the right to be in that group because they have no knowledge of the higher end skills, and so on, and so forth.
I think its a really bad idea all around. For instance, the leader of the group says, use this, and the newer lower player has no idea what he is talking about. He has new skills he has never seen or used before, and a leader asks him to use it, and he doesn't. HOW is that going to BENEFIT the raid/group? Its not!
Also, the leader or group member says, what is your tactical mit at? The lower players say, HUH? This is not going to benefit ANYONE. It took us YEARS to get to 95, and we worked darn hard at it, and we KNOW our classes, and our skills, and how is it going to be of ANY benefit for high end players to have a lowbee along? To what, power level them? Get them rewards that only 95's should have, and earn? Iam sorry, but I just do NOT see ANY benefit to this upscaling at all. NONE.
This game has become to easy, and let the lower players come in to a 95 raid seems utterly unfair to all the vets who have worked mighty hard over the years to become as good as they are. Sure, it might teach them a thing or two, but as I have said, there is ZERO benefit to any of this, and ZERO benefit to all of us who KNOW our classes, and have worked REALLY hard on them in the last 6-7 years and so on.
Maybe it sounds elitist, but its NOT. I think if the lower levels want to run a 95 raid with their kins, GOOD! DO it! But for a pug? No. Not unless that lower person has a really good knowledge of their class, and can listen, and play well. I just don't see it happening! Sure, we don't have to take a lower player, but if you are in a pug, and a lower one joins, problems. For instance, they go gung ho in a 95 raid feeling super duper powerful, and grab mobs they have NO clue about, and wipe the group, and oh so sorry pal.
I think you guys need to seriously RE think this. Its not a good idea. Not at all. Sorry if it sounds harsh, but its a bad idea. I think its going to annoy a lot of people who have worked super hard over the years to gear their toons and who play them extremely well. What about the loot?
How's that going to work? Say for instance, a captain item drops right? Only one, right? What happens if the lower levelled captain gets it, and the 95 doesn't? Do you think that sounds fair? It sounds like riding on someone's back for free. Sure, you might scale the loot to their level, but what if that was only one item that should have been meant for the 95? And the lower gets it? Might sound fair that he got it, but did he honestly work as hard as a 95 in that raid did? No. Because he doesn't have the skills, and the knowledge the 95 has over the years it took him to equip, and gear his toon.
I don't know. I just think this needs to be ditched.
