The lag I am experiencing while there is painful. Things mostly run well in any other area but in Rohan, it begins to lag a bit and Wildermore is just a downright nightmare. As far as fps, I'm getting around 60fps when standing still but any movement brings huge dips where it goes down to 10ish or even single digits and back up high again. Latency is around 35 and 0 loss. I've turned down the settings a bit but it really doesn't help much. It's just constant stutter no matter what. (Don't get me started on what it's like on a WS) Does anyone else experience this kind of lag and stutter in Wildermore?
My comp is as follows:
i7 2.8GHz 6MB Cache
8gb DDR3 1333 MHz
1GB Radeon HD 5850
ISP - Verizon FIOS (average 125mbs down, 75mbps up)
Not the greatest PC, but I don't have any issues with any other games. I've been playing Rift, Neverwinter and STO at max with not even the slightest hiccup. I actually have lower fps in those games but it's a consistent smooth ride. I can run single player games, such as Skyrim, fully maxed with high frames and it's real smooth. I have practically nothing on this computer; no music, videos, pictures, etc. I'm using about 125gb of my 300. I've defragged and ensured no viruses and such.
I apologize but I am a complete amateur with PC related tech so not sure what to do here. I just don't understand why I only have this issue in LOTRO, and at its worse in Wildermore. Unfortunately, I no longer play because of it, which is discouraging because I love this game and miss Middle Earth terribly! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
