It seems that open tapping was successful in Rohan and is now coming to the rest of middle earth. There has always been the issue of ninja farmers, which we all have suffered. Now: What do you think, should we make noise about opening the resource nodes in the same way, just as GuildWars 2 did?
For those of us who make money with farming, our businesses would NOT go away... most people are still either too lazy to farm or find other professions to be more fun.
Ninja farming would go away entirely. If we fight a mob guarding that shiny silver deposit and another goes farming it, we'd think "heh, who cares?". We'd get the kill XP, loot AND the silver.
Another thought: this would make resource-node-management be possible client-side. Less data would have to be sent over the interwebz, which might improve the overall experience for us all (even further). Also, seeing someone farm a spot of empty air kinda looks funny ;-D
