From the Bullroarer feedback threads. Format = Topic - Number of posts
Hobby Horse Feedback - 427
Yule Festival - 489
Crafting changes - 341
Bree Revamp - 421
Lets compare that with the amount of feedback relating to instances and raids.
Scaled Mirkwood Cluster - 71 (from 5 threads covering SG, BG, SH & Dungeons)
Feedback for new 3-mans - 25 (from 3 threads, 1 for each instance)
I think this serves to demonstrate that the large majority of the playerbase is more concerned with festivals, fluff items and landscape changes as opposed to instances or raids. Why should Turbine continue to spend large amounts of money and developer time on sections of the game that only a small amount of the playerbase is interested in? I am even beginning to doubt if raiders will see ever see a unique multi-boss raid such as ToO, DN, or OD again... JW-Barry who was LOTROs lead raid designer is now undertaking other projects (see Hytbold in RoR) so in terms of raid content we will be relegated to lair raids like Draigoch/Turtle (see Update 10).
